Like Herding Cats
🔥 Being a producer is like trying to herd cats in a storm. And the best part? Most people have no idea what we actually do.
Here’s the truth: “Producer” could mean anything. Film producer, music producer, or in our case, the digital-dynamo-hustler-who-makes-stuff-happen-but-somehow-doesn’t-fit-in-a-box producer. We take ideas from zero to sixty, we fix the unfixable, and we deliver creative, digital, or marketing projects—sometimes without a clear label for what we’re producing or how we’re producing it.
So why does it feel like we’re in a void?
💥 Because there’s no clear name for what we do. We’re not project managers. Not creatives. And definitely not just “content people.” But we’re still expected to perform as every one of those.
➡️ The Problem
The lack of a real label means no one knows what to expect from us—or what to give us credit for. We’re the ones who push projects through every wall, who keep the big picture intact while delivering the details that make the difference. And yet, because “Producer” sounds like we should be holding a film slate or mixing music tracks, our role isn’t even on the radar.
➡️ Why It Matters
Creative production isn’t just a behind-the-scenes job. We’re the engine and the map. We connect creativity with strategy, and if our role is misunderstood, so is the impact we create.
💬 The Fix
Producers—let’s start owning this. Show up. Share your impact. Show your results. The only way to get the recognition we deserve is by claiming it, loud and clear.
